L and G live in New York but decided to reunite family and friends in the South of France for their wedding.
This idea made more sense to them, Guillaume having asked Leyla to marry him one year before during a romantic weekend together on the French Riviera.
Over 300 guests came from all over the world to celebrate with the couple over a period of a few days.
The couple chose the hotel Palais de la Mediterranée for their stay.
It is in one of the luxurious suites of this hotel that the Bride got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids at breakfast time the day of the wedding.
The civil ceremony was held at the townhall in Vallauris which has a lovely wedding salon on the ground floor, with enough space to accommodate the large number of guests.
After the ceremony, all guests were transported by bus to the Hotel Sheraton in Nice for a lunch cocktail in the gardens with Taittinger champagne, delicate canapés and mouth-watering buffets of foods reflecting both their cultures – African and French. All of this, with a jazzy musical background.
The evening reception was held at the Domaine du Mont Leuze, a famous venue on the Côte d’Azur with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean.
The venue was entirely dressed for the occasion with a refined and unique décor of over-sized Chesterfield sofas, square beds with veiling, assorted pink and grey cushions. Scented pink candles and dozens of floral arrangements bought a very appropriate romantic feel to the cocktail.
The dinner was held on the fabulous terrace overlooking the sea where a modern lycra marquee measuring 500 square meters and 10 meters high was set-up. It gave a lovely feeling of airiness.
A majestic stage was placed at one end of the terrace to host a famous band composed of 20 musicians and singers. Each item was planned in the slightest detail: the beautiful orchid centerpieces, the guest gifts, musical entertainment, the menu, the furniture…
The evening was filled with many surprises and marks of affection from the guests which reflected the love of this couple, we wish them a long and happy life together.
